Description: A new challenger has entered the Unreal Tournament! Samus Aran. This character model looks great in-game. Alcor43 did a terrific job, let him know in his Epic forum post. This model features an alternate armor set, maskless face, and Gun-Arm.
Note -With all custom models on PS3, only use pieces meant for that character. Mixing pieces will often cause glitches in your character model. If you lose track, back up a screen.
Alcor43 writes, "Samus is the 23rd plugin player model I release thus far. She’s my very first “Next Gen” character for Unreal Tournament 3 and I’m very proud of that. I had a great time working on this character and doing a UT3 character was a great challenge. I have to give a special thanks to plenty of people for helping me out (see below). Anuban may have cooked this btw. If so many thanks to him. This is one of the coolest models out there. Models like these are truly turning it into an "Unreal Tournament". We need ALL the biggest characters from gaming history, and it will be the biggest Tournament in the Universe. Forget Super Smash Bros., this is Unreal Tournament.

oh damn, i just loaded up the samus model. the proportions were kinda weird. her helmet seemed a bit big. also the colors went wonky when i loaded a different model and tried to load samus a second time. it's not bad but compared to spawn, MC and the rest, it looks a bit out of place.
Wow this is my new favorite character mod! How about Zero Suit Samus next?
Thanks guys. The proportions are kind of off for 2 reasons, I went away from the unrealistic proportions Nintendo give to the character, and because of the "Family Code Issue" you may be aware of, the shoulder pads are kind of sticking out in the menu. This will hopefully be fixed in the next version when Epic fix the Family Code Issue.
And to make things clear, I cooked the model myself and shown Anuban how to do it. It was important for me to do it all to avoid people taking credit for my work.

family code? this is my first time hearing of it? what is it? Time for me to do some research. i still appreciate the effort though. also, far too many people believe the person that cooked the mod is always the person that built the mod. so a lot of people are getting credit for others work. not cool at all.
anyways, i'll wait for the revision.
i now this is off topic but why dont they try and do family guy characters such as petaer griffin and stewie. if you know who they are. or even simpsons. that would be great, i bet it was hard to do this and i would figure it would be easyier to do a cartoony character
Very good work mate,i think there's a problem though : I can play normally in Instant action with Samus,but as soon as i head online,the model gets ALWAYS replaced with a default iron guard one.
Even when i start i new game,i can play with Samus but as soon i get fragged for the 1rst time the Samus model still reverts to iron guard one i mentioned.
Any advice?

Are you sure you weren't in a server that doesn't allow custom models?
Yes,no matter what,the samus skin doesn't appear(at least in DM and Team DM).It only works for instant action.
I experimented yesterday a little bit thinking that maybe the mod didn't get installed properly but it's a no-go.Same thing for some buddies of mine.
I can use all my other skins normally mate except this one...
I don't seem to have that problem, This is the model I use online too. I havn't seen anyone else with that problem either. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for it though.
Hey i would love to see a zero suit samus, but a little off topic im no longer able to download these from my computer it just links back to the main page and becuse of my ps3s connection that was the only way to do it for me :( any idea why thats happening
what are the chances of any one been able to do a terminator, predator or any film characters or is it too difficult
hey guys i just downloaded it but i cant find it under the custom characters, what faction is it under?
I imported this character into the game, went to make a custom character and she didn't show up in any of the factions. Would any body be able to help me with this?
She should show up under Iron Guard. Does the file show up in your content list. If so, perhaps you just got a bad download for some reason. The file is correct and if she shows up in your content list she should work. But try to delete it and download again if it is in your content list and doesn't work.
If it's not in your content list, you may have done something wrong. Make sure you chose overwrite and save when downloading. If you picked the 1st option which is Rename and save, the game just won't read the file. And that is why it's not in your content list. Hope that helps.
I might have to re download it then. But the only problem is when I do go to download it, it only shows up as 14.8 megs. The description states that it is 15.1 megs. Is this an error on the page itself or is this a problem just on my end? Thanks again.

About the size,That might be my fault. It is a round a bout number and is not exact. Download again with confidence and let us know if you got it working.
Maybe a stupid question but do I need the new patch for them to show up or is the patch just something useful that you don't need for these. I don't have high speed here so its a bit hard for me.
@ herby. Thansk a lot, I'll try it again. If it doesn't work I'll assume I have to update. I hope I don't or else I'll have to take it to a friends house for high speed...can't wait to get my own place with high speed.
