Tutorial - Downloading and Importing UT3 Mods using your PS3's Internet Browser
This tutorial is going to explain to you how to download Unreal Tournament 3 Mods directly to your Playstation 3 using your PS3 internet browser. You can't download the UT3 mods directly to your PS3 's Hard Disk Drive. You have to save the UT3 mods to a USB Device or Memory Card.
USB Flash Drive and Memory Cards



What you need:
Internet Access
USB Hard Disk Drive, USB Flash Thumb Drive, or Memory Card.
Playstation 3 Console
Unreal Tournament 3 Ps3 version
The Process Below has to be repeated for each MOD or Map Pack.
Steps

1. Insert the USB Device or Memory Card into the PS3. Now go visit UT3MOD.COM using your PS3 Internet Browser. Once there click on the "PS3 Download Link"for the desired Mod. After you click on the download link the PS3 will ask you to Select the Destination. Press START to select the USB Device or Memory Card you want to save your MOD to.
   
   
2. After you press START the MOD will begin downloading to your USB Device/Memory Card. Wait until it says "Download completed." Now that the MOD has been saved to the USB Device/Memory Card you can CLOSE the Internet Browser and Start Unreal Tournament 3.
   
   
3. Once the game has started, select "Community" on the Main Menu.
   
   
4. In the "Community" Menu select "My Content".
   
   
5. Now that you are in "My Content" Press the [] Square button to "Import Content".
   
   
6. When you press Square you will then select the USB Device or Memory Card that you saved your MOD onto by Pressing X.
   
   
7. The game will ask you if you want to import the data. Select Yes.
   
   
8. Now the MOD will begin to import, once the Import is Completed Press O Circle to Back out, and the MOD will unpack and install.
   
   
9. Now you will see the MOD in the " My Content" section.
   
   

To add additional MODS to the game, Exit the Game and go to UT3MOD.COM. When you click on the "PS3 Download Link" of your desired MOD, follow the steps again.
NOTE: After you Press "Start" at Step 1 you will get a prompt to "Overwrite and Save". MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "OVERWRITE AND SAVE".


Enjoy the Game and tell your friends to buy it.

Description: When jbizzler says, "Turn UT into a sidescrolling fragfest!" he really means it. This is sidescrolling 2 dimensional gameplay jacked-up in a 3D kind of way. UT3 in classic side scrolling style with 4 UT2D game types available, UT2D Deathmatch, UT2D Team DM, UT2D CTF, and UT2D Duel. The character models look amazing in this view. You can use all the custom characters, and using Samus just makes me wish the original Metroid looked this good. UT2D adds another first to the PS3, voluntary crouching. Just tilt down the left analog stick and you will crouch, with the added benefit of steading your aim. This is Final so make sure to reply at the Epic Forums Post with feedback for jbizzler.

Description: The first UT2D map cooked for the PS3. This is a fun map to play and highlights the potential UT2D has.

GoodAndy writes, "I originally intended a sewer looking map. The sewer idea has kind of evolved. I mean, does it look anything like a sewer to you? But yet, I kept the name so far. After playing it, you can suggest a new name if you want. Please tell me what you think of the look and gameplay.
The map has somewhat different play style than other UT2D maps. Instead of a beautiful background, it has a foreground which somewhat blocks your view, making opponents jump out every so often. Very suspenseful and eerie map, although a blast to play.

Description: This is a great looking UT2D map with sliding doors and an awesome industrial look. There is lots of areas to wall jump so make sure you practice.

DazJW writes, "Player Spawns are in the bottom corners, on the pipe ledges and in the top corners (on both sides of the map). Flags are in the bottom corners.
Weapon Spawns:
Armour Vest - Left and Right, middle floor.
Medium Health - Left and Right, top floor room.
Shock Rifle - Left, top floor.
Shock Rifle - Right, top floor.
Rocket Launcher - Middle, bottom floor.
Rocket Launcher Ammo - Middle, middle floor.
The two vertical shafts at the bottom have mesh grates over them so you don't fall into them. Either side of the middle there are doors so you can't stand at one flag and spam the other."

Description: I'll try to keep this short, since ChainsawFilms already describes the high quality of this map in his original post. You should really just download this one, it's a really great VCTF map!

"WET - Night time. Lots of rain and lightning. Both teams have Axon vehicles. Each team has a Double Damage and Redeemer.
HOT - Day time. As the sun scorches the Earth, the Necris have infected the Blue base. Red have Axon vehicles, Blue have Necris. One central Redeemer.

Inspired by a personal favourite UT2004 map. Not exactly a remake as a lot has changed, but you can certainly see a lot of the original in it.
I've decided to release a few versions of this map. If you like one, please give the others a go, they're all different to play.
To start with there's the original WET version, which is set at night time in a storm.
HOT has quite a different flow to it, with different weapons, vehicles and items. HOT is set during the day, with twin suns and the Necris infecting the Blue base.
Forthcoming will be PRO, and eventually a Xmas variant. I'm interested in the post-processing and what effects the engine can achieve; how you can radically alter a map with different lighting and post effects.
I've tried to build it to the same standard as the Epic maps, I guess time will tell. I've chucked quite a lot in to each version - lightning, there's a few custom textures, extensive material alteration. Hopefully it's also highly playable map!"

Description: I can't believe this is Xermacor's first map. Not only does it look great, but it doesn't feel like a first map as it is more intricate and ambitious than many other deathmatch maps out.
Xermacor writes, "This orbital station, Formerly used as an outpost, has been renewed for tourism industry.
You'll find there all kind of basic weapons, 6 upgrades (superhealth, u-damage, belt...). I wanted to balance open spaces and closed ones. Open spaces are : in the space and the indoor garden. But don't worry, you can easily jump beyond fences. I also thought a place for professional snipers would please some of you (where you can kill and be almost protected, but keep an eye behind you).
As some of you may have seen it in the "beta release" section, this is my first map ever made. Feel free to tell me what's right (I'll keep it for the next map - already in my mind) and what could be improved (and how). At least, I hope you'll already enjoy this one!"

Description: A fun CTF map that doesn't over-complicate its layout the way a lot of the more modern CTF maps seem to. When you grab the flag you have a few options for which path to use to score it. Along the way there are plenty of walls to dodge off of to avoid fire, and you can intertwine the path to throw off your enemies.
